The focus of my research is on the ribosome exit tunnel. I am trying to address two specific issues involving the tunnel: 1. Mechanism of macrolide action (macrolides are antibiotics that bind to ribosome tunnel). 2. Functional significance of post transcriptional modifications located in the tunnel.
